For those of you who DON'T know, LaLa Vazquez is my girl. I LOVE HER!!! Ahhh I just die! I think she is one strong, humble, cool chick! Being someone in the radio industry, I admire her successful transition from radio intern, to radio personality, to television personality, to successful businesswoman and mother. Last night there was a situation that LaLa was involved in that has come under fire today. The Dallas Mavericks vs Denver Nuggets serious was already heated with comments made from Dallas owner Mark Cuban to the mother of Nuggets player Kenyon Martin. At last nights game, LaLa was caught on camera cursing and yelling at a few Dallas fans and being escorted by security out of the stands. What cameras DID NOT see however was what prompted LaLa to act in such a manner. According to LaLa "u cant harass a person,callthem&their fam n*gg*rs,call kiyan a b*st*rd,push me in the back of thehead cuz ur drunk and not expect a reaction im human guys! thats my son. not a game! all the cameras caught was me going off on the 3 women behind me but never showing why, of course! im prob 1 of the coolest,humble,down2earth chicks u will ever meet (my friends can vouch 4 that)but racial stuff&kiyan attacks is goin 2 far" SHE IS EXACTLY RIGHT! As a WOMAN, you are supposed to TAKE CARE OF YOUR FAMILY. Basketball is a GAME! Talk all the mess you want, but you leave a player's family and CHILDREN out of the equation. Period. As a woman, I would get upset if someone was speaking negatively about my husband...LET ALONE MY CHILD. I respect her for standing up for herself and not allowing some rich, racist white folks to speak to her like trash. I dont think it makes her any less classy or respectable. And I think the media should leave her alone! She's a mama bear taking care of business!!!!

Sooo I Can Admit That I SUCK

I've come to the conclusion that I suck at life. So serious. Just as I begin to blog regularly, I fall of the horse again. I cannot even begin to explain to you how unusually busy life has been for me lately, but I guess that is not excuse for my absence. So we will not even linger there. I hope you all have been fab!!! Summer is officially here and that means.....NOTHING! haha! Your grind should not stop, if anything, you should kick it into high gear!!! Cuz I'm Just Dying for a Chai Tea Latte.....

So I'm supposed to be writing this essay about a John Henry Adams caricature of BTW and it's just not happening. But what is happening is my love for Angel Taylor is growing like no other. I put her music on thinking it would calm me and help me focus. But quite the contrary. See I find myself sitting her discecting every word she says. Her single "Chai Tea Latte" catches my attention in particular. The song is basically about #1 an interracial relationship (which if you've been reading u know is completely what I'm into now...white boys only.) and #2 it's about the fact that she's in love with with this guy who won't even ask her out (particulary on a date to get some Chai Tea Lattes...and she lives RIGHT down the street...ok I'm rambling...) but anyway. I know MANY of my ladies have been in this situation. You like the guy, he likes you, but still no date. WTF is up with that? I don't have time for that ish. Just a thought...back to Angel Taylor and this blank, but open Word Document.

WTF, Pirates Are Real?!?!

So basically....I had NO CLUE that pirates were real until like a year ago and I still didn't believe until the recent headline grabbing events. The thing is, I'm mad I didn't know. I feel like I've been left out of some secret "yes pirates are real" society. I always thought pirates were like imaginary characters in stories and kid movies. Guess not. I'm kind of mad at my parents though. I feel like when you're a kid, your parents should sit you down and say "your mom is the tooth fairy, your dad is santa, the easter bunny is gay, and by the way, pirates are real." I mean gah damn! I fully intend to have that convo with my children.

2009 = The Year of Magnificent Pimpin

Ok so I have not been like consistently single since I was 15. Crazy! I know. So in 2009, I'm heartless. Sorry. Some fellas have already felt the effects of the movement. I'm sorry, but I've always had a boyfriend. AND for like the past year I've been in a string of completely unsuccessful and time wasting situations and I'm really over it. I'm tired of wasting precious moments of my life that I will never get back with people who could really care less. So I'm on some f*ck it $h!t in 09'. I'm officially dating like a guy and I like it. Oh, you texted me? I'll text you back....in two days. Oh, you wanna go out to dinner? Let me see how next thursday is looking and I'll see if I can pencil you in. Oh, you want to be in a relationship? Sorry!, I don't do those...holler at me again in 2010. I'm SO SERIOUS! I'm young. I'm 21 years old. I grind hard everyday. And honestly this has been my SEXIEST year yet. I mean, I'm on point like no other this year. Why waste this on ONE guy?? Especially these bum ass ATL dudes. BOOOOO!! I think not! Now, I will say this: if I was to give this all up and date one guy, he would have to be THE ONE...like Mr. Right...not just Mr. Well I'm Hungry Right Now So We Can Pretend We Are Together Just So I Can Get A Free Meal. Ya Girl's Been Busy Grindin....MY BAD!!

Aiight kids...the texts, messages, calls, etc have been getting insane sooo ya girl is BACK! Sorry about taking yet another break, but hey! the grind has been immaculate. School has been kicking my ass, radio has kept me busy, and people have been annoying me so I've been on the lowkey tip too. But hey, im here now. A little update: I will be THROWING DUECES at ATL in a few weeks! Ahhh!!! I will be working in Chicago all summer at 107.5 WGCI (on of the hottest stations in the country) sooo yea your girl will be doing big things. Whoo hoo! I'll miss ATL...well not really. And ya'll know me, I might mess around and NOT COME BACK! Ha! So stay posted! But yea I've just been grindin it out and spending all of my downtown sleeping and hanging with my dog lol!!
