So basically....I had NO CLUE that pirates were real until like a year ago and I still didn't believe until the recent headline grabbing events. The thing is, I'm mad I didn't know. I feel like I've been left out of some secret "yes pirates are real" society. I always thought pirates were like imaginary characters in stories and kid movies. Guess not. I'm kind of mad at my parents though. I feel like when you're a kid, your parents should sit you down and say "your mom is the tooth fairy, your dad is santa, the easter bunny is gay, and by the way, pirates are real." I mean gah damn! I fully intend to have that convo with my children.......morgan
