I guess I will give you guys a quick run through of what I've been up to: moved to Chicago until August to work with 107.5 WGCI (an experience that has been LESS than AWESOME!), started doing some fashion styling and wardrobe consulting (I really think this is my calling!!!!!), thrown myself fullforce in the magnificent world of pimpin (i love it and I should have NEVER left), and been reavaluating my life, where it is, where I thought it would have been by now, and where I want it to go. So yea all this has kept me quite busy...but I'm back now! Get amped!

For those of you who DON'T know, LaLa Vazquez is my girl. I LOVE HER!!! Ahhh I just die! I think she is one strong, humble, cool chick! Being someone in the radio industry, I admire her successful transition from radio intern, to radio personality, to television personality, to successful businesswoman and mother. Last night there was a situation that LaLa was involved in that has come under fire today. The Dallas Mavericks vs Denver Nuggets serious was already heated with comments made from Dallas owner Mark Cuban to the mother of Nuggets player Kenyon Martin. At last nights game, LaLa was caught on camera cursing and yelling at a few Dallas fans and being escorted by security out of the stands. What cameras DID NOT see however was what prompted LaLa to act in such a manner. According to LaLa "u cant harass a person,callthem&their fam n*gg*rs,call kiyan a b*st*rd,push me in the back of thehead cuz ur drunk and not expect a reaction im human guys! thats my son. not a game! all the cameras caught was me going off on the 3 women behind me but never showing why, of course! im prob 1 of the coolest,humble,down2earth chicks u will ever meet (my friends can vouch 4 that)but racial stuff&kiyan attacks is goin 2 far" SHE IS EXACTLY RIGHT! As a WOMAN, you are supposed to TAKE CARE OF YOUR FAMILY. Basketball is a GAME! Talk all the mess you want, but you leave a player's family and CHILDREN out of the equation. Period. As a woman, I would get upset if someone was speaking negatively about my husband...LET ALONE MY CHILD. I respect her for standing up for herself and not allowing some rich, racist white folks to speak to her like trash. I dont think it makes her any less classy or respectable. Cuz I'm Just Dying for a Chai Tea Latte.....

So I'm supposed to be writing this essay about a John Henry Adams caricature of BTW and it's just not happening. But what is happening is my love for Angel Taylor is growing like no other. I put her music on thinking it would calm me and help me focus. But quite the contrary. See I find myself sitting her discecting every word she says. Her single "Chai Tea Latte" catches my attention in particular. The song is basically about #1 an interracial relationship (which if you've been reading u know is completely what I'm into now...white boys only.) and #2 it's about the fact that she's in love with with this guy who won't even ask her out (particulary on a date to get some Chai Tea Lattes...and she lives RIGHT down the street...ok I'm rambling...) but anyway. I know MANY of my ladies have been in this situation. You like the guy, he likes you, but still no date. WTF is up with that? I don't have time for that ish. WTF, Pirates Are Real?!?!

So basically....I had NO CLUE that pirates were real until like a year ago and I still didn't believe until the recent headline grabbing events. The thing is, I'm mad I didn't know. I feel like I've been left out of some secret "yes pirates are real" society. I always thought pirates were like imaginary characters in stories and kid movies. Guess not. I'm kind of mad at my parents though. I feel like when you're a kid, your parents should sit you down and say "your mom is the tooth fairy, your dad is santa, the easter bunny is gay, and by the way, pirates are real." I mean gah damn! Uhh EFF VALENTINE'S DAY

I effing hate Valentine's Day. And no, it's not because I'm some bitter single woman or some wack shit like that. I actually have a couple of boos right now. But I hate this "holiday" because I am a TRUE believer that there is no logical way that it should take you ONE day out of the whole mother effing year to tell someone how much you love them. Period. Love is a 365, 24/7 kinda thing. There's no amount of roses and there's not enough bling that you can buy to prove your love. Your love proves itself. I'm honestly anti-valentine's day. I'd find it so much more romantic if me and my man didn't do shit for Valentine's Day thats out of the ordinary. If Saturday night is our bowling night and V-day happens to fall on Saturday...then gosh dammit we are going bowling. It's all really ridiculous. If you're in a relationship, everyday should be Valentine's Day. And if it's not then you should re-evaluate your relationship.

Sooo this past Monday, Absolut held a party at Atlanta's Door44 in honor of their new Mango flavor!!! The party was a BLAST!!! Some of the most fun I've had a minute!!! So I'm taking a break from cleaning right now. I usually try to clean the crib on the weekends because my weekdays are just wayyyy to hectic. I despise cleaning....and cooking. I truly think both are for the birds. However, I plan to be someone's wife in the next few years, thus I am preparing myself now. Gotta be good for something....and amazing sex can only be your only talent for so long.

Thoughts RIGHT NOW......

1. I posted this picture because when I was younger, stupid girls used to say I looked like a monkey. Years later....I stole all of their boyfriends as revenge...they are STILL crying. Payback is a BiTCH and being this fly is the SHIT.

2. Spring break cannot come any sooner...cold weather is for ugly people.

3. All guys under the age of 40 should have flat stomachs...it should be a law or something...maybe I'll include that in my letter to President Obama...

4. I'm ready for the day when guys stop rocking pastel colors on a daily basis. We should not be wearing the same shade of pink.

5. I hate guys that have crooked smiles...I'm starting to think it's a sign of evil.

6. People shouldn't wear school spirit apparel everyday...if I see one more CAU letterman's jacket...mind you, they sell them in the bookstore...you don't need to be on a sports team to get one...that makes it even more sad.

7. Beauty doesn't fade...hoes just lose the energy to keep themselves up. When I get married, I plan to include in my vows something along these lines: "I vow to try my hardest everyday to look this good forever....no matter how much money it takes."

8. "There's only 2 types of guys out there, ones that can hang with me and those that are scared." I date like a guy and I love it...what's funny is, when guys see the mirror image of themselves, they can't take it. So sad.

I'm annoyed by this video on many levels. I'm annoyed that Young Jeezy and Jay-Z would be SO IGNORANT as to say these kind of things and I'm annoyed that people like Bill O'Reilly and Dennis Miller are using someone else's stupidity to attack and/or criticize President Obama. The real issue I have is that white people and CLEARLY black people as well, have deemed people like Jeezy and Jay-Z to be shining role models for the black community. This grown ass BOYS who have trouble keeping their pants up and speaking correct English are who a younger generation of black children are supposed to aspire to be like one day. While I respect Jay-Z for being a "smart" businessman, and by smart I mean able to make money in many different ways, I don't always like what he stands for. And I definitely question his intelligence due to the fact that he married Beyonce...but that's another story. And Jeezy, this is a guy who's money primarily is drug money...illegal. And let's not forget Jay-Z "used to move snowflakes by the oz". Being an educated, black female, I feel that if these are the kind of people the younger generation is looking up to, then we are in trouble. Period.

I am so overjoyed and so proud to be BLACK right now. I am so proud of my country as a WHOLE right now. And I am so proud of MY PRESIDENT right now. When I voted on November 4, 2008, I pledged my unyielding support of President Obama. And I intend to stand by that. Now, there will ALWAYS be ignorant black people. Just as there will ALWAYS be ignorant white people, hispanic people, asian people, irish people, etc. But you don't hear black people going on tv using one person as a scapegoat for other people's lack of intelligence. It seems as if people like Bill O'Reilly are trying to find any and everything they can in order to question the President...and I don't like it. The President is ONE person. Judge him by HIS actions, not the actions of people who just happen to share the same skin color as him.

I am a huge fan of DSquared. The line is the brainchild of identical twin brothers Dan & Dean Caten. You'll find that most of the pieces are funky and edgy, yet still manage to maintain a timeless quality. I like to refer to the style as "everyday grit". The line pushes the envelope, but doesn't go too far. Loves it!!!!! Even Rihanna (who is definitely one of the flyest women on the planet is a huge fan! she has walked in fashion shows for them in the past!).
